We’re jumping for joy at recent recognitions of work from our pages! One piece will appear in an anthology, another was a finalist, and still others were nominated for consideration:

Sonja Livingston’s marvelous essay from issue 14.2, “Miracle of the Eyes,” about mysterious happenings with statues of Mary in Ireland in 1985, was selected for inclusion in the 2018 volume of The Orison Anthology, which will be available this fall. The anthology “reprint[s] the finest spiritually engaged writing from a broad and inclusive range of perspectives.” Here’s a link to last year’s anthology.

Jolene McIlwain’s flash-fiction piece from our miCRo series, “Drumming,” was named a finalist in the Best Small Fictions 2018. We’re not surprised that this haunting story was among the group of 101 sent to guest editor Aimee Bender. We were glad to see a number of other CR contributors on the list of winners and finalists too, including Matt Bell (12.1), Robert Long Foreman (13.1), Kevin Moffett, (13.1), Natalia Theodoridou (14.1), Michael Parker (14.1)—and our assistant editor last year, Gwen Kirby!

And we also received that wonderful surprise of second-round nominations from our pages for the Pushcart Prizes, from the board of contributing editors. Joining our six nominations from last fall are:
