Mark Sullivan’s first book of poetry, Slag (Texas Tech University Press, 2005), received the Walt McDonald First Book Award. Other honors include an NEA fellowship and publication in The Best American Essays 2020. His poetry and prose have recently appeared or are forthcoming in Alaska Quarterly Review, Cimarron Review, Lake Effect, and elsewhere.
