is a fiction writer whose work has appeared in journals including Ploughshares, Subtropics, Green Mountains Review, and The Threepenny Review. One of his short stories was listed as one of the “Other Distinguished Stories” in Best American Short Stories 2017. Originally from Minneapolis, he holds an MFA from the University of Florida and a Ph.D. in Creative Writing from the University of Cincinnati. From 2019-2021, he was the Tickner Writing Fellow at Gilman School in Baltimore. He has taught writing—primarily fiction—for the past ten years.
