Chelsea Whitton is a poet and essayist born and raised in the Carolinas. Her poems, essays, and criticism have appeared or are forthcoming in various online and print publications, most recently Copper Nickel, Vinyl, Borderlands: Texas Poetry Review, and Cream City Review. She is a PhD third year and a graduate assistant at the University of Cincinnati, and holds degrees in literature and creative writing from UNC–Asheville and The New School, respectively. Chelsea is the winner of the 2018 Sandy Crimmins National Poetry Award. She’s the author of the blog series Brief Interviews with Hideous Women on the Iron Horse Literary Review site, and her chapbook, Bear Trap, is published by Dancing Girl Press.
